Oh man, it's been a year and a half since my last journal entry. And I've moved across the country again!! Very exciting stuff. A whole new ecosystem and set of possible subjects to photograph. I take my camera everywhere and while I do appreciate its nice macro function, and many "situation" settings, I've found I don't ever use many of the deeply technical features, like adjusting the aperture. Also, it's bulky and susceptible to the elements. So I'm looking into getting a smaller, sleeker, and waterproof camera that I can take out on adventures and fit in my pocket. So it's been about a year, time for a new DA journal entry. ;) I love the west. I think I'll be here indefinitely. My life is so full of good fortune and beauty it's just stunning to be here every day. I have a new camera! It's a Canon PowerShot SX100IS and I love it. I think it's about as advanced as I can afford just short of being an SLR. ;_; But it's wonderful and it has really served me well. I'm also trying to step my photos up a notch. There's a bar that hosts a weekly art gallery in my town, so my goal is to have my photography up (and for sale!) sometime this summer. So constructive criticism and suggestions are highly encouraged!

My world is expanding. I moved across the country, and I've decided to stay on the beautiful west coast. And with this comes personal growth, new experiences, spiritual exploration, and MANY opportunities for photos of course. After 15 months of having this account, I really value it as a sort of story of my journeys and a cool medium to share beauty with my friends. I encourage your comments and hope you enjoy!
